A time-tabled programme event where several panellists and a moderator sit in front of an audience in a room with theatre-style seating and discuss a specific pre-chosen topic, then answer questions from the audience. Panels typically form the bulk of the formal programme events at a con, and there are often several simultaneous streams of back-to-back panels running for several hours a day.
